Abstract

by Julia Titova

The main theme is a critical observation of the social life of the era. What is this era? It is a space in which cinematography and reality are intertwined. You may well be lured into taking one reality for the other. A little background: the country in which the author was born was then part of the USSR. Now this land is called independent (Republic of Belarus); nevertheless, it is a Russian colony. When you start in such conditions, you don’t know what is the importance of a certain view, a particular impression of private life. What is the importance of a particular impression which will later be elaborated on by another impression of privacy. As in the case of the Nazis, private life was carefully constructed for public consumption. What you will later learn about in the hard version. This is a very recent past, and this is one small human life. Not a movie. So, a Hollywood ending for this exciting story is unlikely. Take a deep breath.
