Philosophical Aesthetics Today
Article
Abstract
[In Russian]
This article touches upon the following question: what is the philosophical aesthetics today? Can it be still ranked among the contemporary philosophical and social disciplines? To answer this question, it is essential to clarify some key points of actual problems within the philosophical aesthetics. The main features of the contemporary aesthetics – such as its fragmented (it is possible to distinguish at least three separate subdisciplines within the aesthetics: artistics, callistics and aisthetics) and interdisciplinary character, peculiar conception of (sensitive) truth, non-semantic self-consciousness, ethical as well as social-theoretical implications – allow to position it not only as a trans-disciplinary theory, but also as a non-institutional intellectual practice.
