Dante’s Coordinates as the Coordinates of the Cultural Space
Article
Abstract
[In Russian]
Social space is interpreted in the article in terms of heterogeneous
space. Thee author identifies three types of social space:
civilization space, strati"cation space and cultural space. Space
of social stratification forms the social coordinates (P. Sorokin),
which like the Cartesian coordinates predetermine an individual
by means of identification with the environment. Cultural space
predetermines the relationship of axiological values and is characterized
by Dante’s coordinates.
Dante’s coordinates in contrast to Cartesian coordinates predetermine
apophatic space in which the definition of an individual
as a personality is based on the result of denial, separation from
the environment. It is shown that an individual being (personality,
product) is formed in the space of Dante’s coordinates. there
were identfied specific behavioral modes (modus operandi) that
lead to the formation of a personality.
