Philosophy in Contemporary Ukraine: Between «Soviet Philosophy» and Independent Communities of Scholars
Article
Abstract
[In Russian]
This paper is based on the survey of the opinions of the par- ticipants of some informal groups of the Ukrainian philosophers. All of them work at the most influential national universities and research unites.
In the Post-Soviet Ukraine the stagnation of the official aca- demic structures gives rise to the emergence of informal groups of scholars with common research interests. To a great extent the progress of the humanities in contemporary Ukraine is deter- mined by the activity of such informal groups that do not oppose themselves to the official system, but try to interact with it. They tend to democratize the academic system and approximate it to the international academic standards.
