Раскодированные визуальные потоки: капитализм и YouTube
Article
Abstract
[In Russian]
YouTube captures a status of the dominant mode of representation, the priority to show. We are interested in the following questions here: how do new media and new technologies affect our dreams, desires, fantasies and everyday practices. We can argue that YouTube changes both our understanding of everyday life and ourselves. When Umberto Eco was interested first of all in the aesthetic of seriality and repetition, we are more interested in the social logic of this phenomenon. The main aim of this article is to try to understand the logic of cultural schizophrenia (visual seriality, repetition) on YouTube.
