Abstract

This article discusses the features of the use of the media materials as instruments of information warfare in Ukraine and Russia. The applied propaganda relies on the ideological concepts for the creation and promotion of a variety of “factoids”, that are completely natural to the modern media environment. Therefore, there are formulae applying for the establishment of narrative control in the description and evaluation of media events. This allows the grip and the combination of events, dates, names in random order within the set of frames. Their combinations are built as a set of several scenarios, which develops in the “ideological matrix”. The task of a critical intellectual in such a situation is to collate and compare the effect of the frame to go beyond the dominant ideological matrix.
