Abstract

[In English]

The rise of localism as the response to the challenges of globalism
is considered in the article. Exploiting the notion of «selective
response» it argues that localism is the false alternative
to globalism as it is based on the same practical and theoretical
dispositions. With the help of social critical theory and psychoanalysis
article explicates the inner mechanisms of the localistic
selective response and their relations to the production of subjectivity
in Modernity. At the end of the article there are the outlines
of the possible alternative to the globalism/localism strategies.
