Media/Net Mediation as Social Mediation

Abstract

The main purpose of this article is to consider the characteristics of the mediation today, in the era of Web 2.0, especially in comparison with earlier media forms, such as cinema. In this article, new media will be considered as a form of social mediation. It will be shown that new media, social media led to a shift to the Imaginary, captured users in the networks of enjoyment, production, and surveillance.
